    Height

    The Discovery has always looked top heavy to me because it was so tall.

    Well it still proves itself as THE most capable off-roader.
    The Defender is LRs serious 4x4 and is meant to be bought to actually go places without tracks. So ground clearance is a must have and fully articulated axles.
    It then looks 'odd' against other 4x4s whose tyres never see mud

    I really like this car. I'd like an SWB pickup, done up in red, with black wheels and detailing, plus a twin-turbo Rover V8. I'll do a Photoshop of the idea sometime, if someone can provide a pic of an SWB pickup Defender.
