    Team Ultimatecarpage.com Race 10: Estoril

Round ten of the ZAC competition will be held at the very hard, but interesting track of Estoril. The first two corners are very important for a fast lap, and the uphill chicane near the end of the circuit, unsettles the car balance on exit greatly. This will be a matter of finishing and you will score good points!

the current standings are insanly close

You will do well here, Roy. From the few laps I have done on this track I can see that there are many areas where a mistake would be easy..but you aren't prone to mistakes so I'm confident you will do very well.

Good luck, you'll probably need it. If I was in your position, I'd hang around in the back for 50% of the race and save your tires, then put in some hot laps and make your way up the field.

It's a difficult track and I can't get a good lap in yet. Hopefully I can find some extra pace in the free practice session. If not finishing is the best I can do.

i've only been testing with my Race Setup, 90 liters of fuel, medium front, hard rear. Constant laptimes of 1.42.4** till 1.42.8** In practise 2

should be able to shave 2 seconds of in qualifying, If i get a 1.40.0**, ill be a happy man!

very satisfied with my race, very dissapointed in my setup

drove med-hard for the first 50 mins, but couldnt get the temperature in the rears above 80 degrees. With lots of spins as result. Drove first for the beginning 20 minutes, after wich i had a long battle with number 2. I couldnt keep up due to a mistake (because of the rear tires) After another couple of spins, and the notification that my front tires where worn, i settled for P3, but with an option on the best laptime (which also is 1 point) Shifted to Soft-Med, and raced the hell out of it, with as result a 1.40.5** as fastest racelap. (2 seconds faster then the other drivers, at the end i noticed that before my pit i already had the fastest lap )

also encountered a non starting porsche during my pitstop, resulting in 30 seconds loss during my pit

P3 in the end for me, P4 for jeroen and P5 for wouter

but im most proud of my Pole Position with a 1'39.787

ps, ucp.com did very well for the team championship! And, jeroen took 4th place in the drivers championship, and im even in a better position to become champion!

and there's the reason for your trouble with spins and pitstop ...
looking at my pace, it looks more like I was driving the T-car

I'm pretty happy about the fact that I'm 4th in the championship now, but I don't like the way I got there.. looks like our competition is giving up

You really think the other drivers aren't trying?

yesterday both drivers from team kroda left during the practise before the qualifiying (45 minutes of inloggin procedure before qualify)

one of the last years champion, i think he couldnt be bothered because of the difference in speed, the other, just couldnt keep his car on the track, but did drove a pb in a practise earlier on of 39.8.

it just doesnt feel like we are beating them anymore..
