well, what can i say, loads of things happening that messed up my concentration, in the end I just cruised to the finishline, because my reartires were just about gone

if the next races will be like this, it would be more fun to arrange track days than races

the beginning of the race was good fun, with jeroen who passed me on the first chicane (bit to early on the brakes for me) After that he had a faster pace and the gap was maximized on 2.3 seconds after a few laps. After that, i got in my rythem, and after 3 or 4 laps i was right on jeroens tail. Some nice manouvres from both sides, and after a lap of battling, i was first. Havent seen a car since that point.

my lead was around 30 seconds till i got distracted, which costed me 8 seconds first time, and 22 the second time. leaving me 6 seconds out of ascari. On the last straight went off my power, and finished with 2 seconds lead.

ps, if the next event i can join will be organised in the same way, i wont participate. People need to understand that this is not NFS and that during a qualify and especcially during a race, concentration for some people is at the highest level. A sudden omfg rofl ;P LOLOLOL will crush that.

Ok, we need some rules. And if they are broken, penalties will follow, from points deduction to race bans.

I will not tolerate silliness in something that has taken 4 months of hard work to organise. The last thing people want when they have spent hours designing a car or co-running the championship is to have their fellow teammates angry, it isnt a very nice feeling. It makes me angry.

So, here are rules, which will be posted in the GTR cupthread.

1. NO "lol rofl lmao ;p ;o " when people are trying to concentrate, talk for a reason, not to say "lol rofl lmao ;p ;o".
2. If you are Disqualified or crash out, say "Have to retire" and no more, when we race, we dont want details on why you retired, or what part of your car is damaged, thatsfor afterwards. Also, dont start blabbing when you have retired. We only want "Pit Out's" during the race, nothing more.
3. Dont show up 1 seconds before the race starts, and then say something dosent work, it just holds everything up.
4. If we all follow the rules, we will get along, and the cup will be a better experience for all involved.

Agreed.

So we should be our own "race stewards".
Anyone can raise an issue in the thread after the race and anyone found guilty of dicking about will start from last place on teh grid.
Repeat offenders will suffer an obligatory stop-go penalty for the next race.
Anyoen continuing to repeat would then skip a race.

Just registered on GTRRank, seems that one of my laps in practice today was my fastest, and seems like in 26th fastest on the list!

In comparison, Roy is 4th.

on some laps, a 2 second time difference means 500 places

that was a nice fight, to bad I lost my car the next chicane because some friend of ours was talking on teamspeak (=bad for concentration)
