of course at the same time as the uber expensive Countach, the NOVA kit car was even more "futuristic"

Looks like that new Saab concept.
The ability for outward expression is dependent on substance...
1937 Cord 812
1935 Stout Scarab, though this may be considered limited production
1930's Tatra 87
pontiac aztek!
12 cylinders or walk!
That crosses the line between futuristic and just silly.Originally Posted by Matra et Alpine

Just saw a d/lked episode of Battlestar Gallactica and what cars did they have in the car park to respresent a "future" humanity ??
Yep the Citroen DS.
SO it kind of gets more confirmation that it is STILL seen as futuristic

Coventry seriously sucks....
Tatra 87. Imagine this car in 1936, when it was first put onto the market and compare it to the boxy things on the road then. Pure future shock. Streamlined, lightweight, DOHC aircooled V8 engine all made for a very fast car for its day. All in all 3,022 (3,056 according to some sources) T87s were built.
Saab Aero X, Pininfarina Birdcage 75th, or the new Civic hatchback.
Koenigsegg CCX
Welcome to UCP. Interesting choice, I never realised that the V8 had DOHCs, so I checked a few things and came across some interesting comments. The tendency to oversteer was very pronounced (not surprising given the lay-out of the chassis) and over ambitious drivers very often crashed. It was the favourite car of the German officers stationed in that area, but at a certain moment the Army Chiefs forbid the use of the car, as too many officers were killed.Originally Posted by Davy
