    Self-Defence

Ok a few issues here a few issues there and a broken wrist. For some reason I've always been the someone to pick on in school even though I sit in my corner reading a book because they know I'd get infruriated quickly after repeated disturbances. I always give a third chance for everything but after that I blow it. I'm an equal match for those in my class but more than not it's usually racism and equates to 5 against 1. I've decided I've had enough so in the summer I'm going to join self-defence classes. Now the question is what should I take up?

Karate: Most preferred, easiest to learn? Probably most will know it. I've heard it makes the joints weak in old age.
Bhagwa: Art of fighting more than 1 person at once.
Tai - Chi: As far as I've heard, learning how to make anything in your surrounding a vicious weapon.
Aikido: Disarming your opponent with harmony in mind - and learning counters for the same. I'm currently watching a video on the basics of it, very interesting.
Taekwando - Dunno what that is really but karate with more use of hands?

Give me some advice peeps. I'm not looking forward to becoming serious sam

Learn Bhagwa, the others are more popular and so will have more McDojos out to make money instead of teach you anything useful. There is more chance Bhagwa classes will be more focused on learning and less on belts.

    None of the Above.

I've had 3 students enrolled in the Rockefella Defense Technique. They've combined for 4 million deaths since 2003.

go aikido, i did it for 7 years, and one day i decided to use it on some wankers.

After that day they never came near me again.

its alot more soulful in my oppinion then karate, aikido is defencive, and using their own attacking force against them works really well (think broken wrist from throwing a punch)

I would try either krav maga, as it is awsome or MMA (mixed martial arts) which is all of those things, thats what they use in the UFC

My cousin has taken kung fu and tai-chi. He said tai-chi was better for getting rid of gangs...

Just build up your muscle mass or if you dont have the time get a gun, I did both and no one has ever touched me. Plus the fact that I can sue them with a high priced lawyer always helps .

I de-fence using shovels and pick axes. Hammers will sometimes work to get the pilings out of the ground, also.
