Yes but now the Ferrari has a 700cc advantage over the Porsche.

Or 500cc.... the RS could use a 3.8 vs the ordinary GT3 3.6.... but its all speculation at the moment

And I agree that the Ferrari does use a bigger engine, so heres hoping that Porsche pull back the deficit by making their car even lighter....

Yup but 500cc is still a lot when you are talking of specific outputs in the region of 120bhp/litre. That would mean a 60bhp deficit for the Porsche. And about the Porsche being lighter I think it will a tough job for them, since the F430 is built in aluminium and the Porsche has a conventional steel monocque, if I'm not mistaken.

I must confess to being a little confused by the pics... It does look like the race version with a number plate sellotaped to the back, but Ferrari can be quite devious when it comes to disguising cars (step forward 348/355 Enzo prototype) - God knows what's underneath the skin. Although there does seem to be an air jack lurking under the back there.

I have my fingers crossed though - alongside the F40, the 360CS is still my all time fave Ferrari. Although, ironically, the only modern production Ferrari I haven't driven. The 360CS is the closest they've got to that car.

EDIT: I think that capacity regs vary according to the engine configuration in GT racing.

Shows those Ferrari folks on another board who said the CS wouldn't come til' the F430's final year.

I like it! I wonder if that same paintjob offered on the 360CS will be available.

kinda looks like a street version of the F430 Challenge but it's gonna be interesting once it's released. Porsche got a long way to go if they want to be competitive with a GT3RS since Ferrari F430 can already outrun a GT3

I´ve got a magazine called GTO and there is a big article in it about the F430 Challenge i must say these pictures look exactly like those in the magazine. There is hardly any difference.

Look also at the pictures on ultimatecarpage

Nice car. F430 is the best V8 Ferrari car ever. And the Ferrari FXX is the best V12 Ferrari car.

I hope it has one... I wouldn't be a "CS" without the stripe.
