An older Rolls. Others may make capable sports cars and luxurious sedans but none can match the Rolls Royce for what it was, pure unabashed yet tasteful luxury.

    Does mine count?:D

Don't mean to offend anyone, but the only english car i've ever driven is my 89 Rover 414 GSi, who still remains in my garage. Maybe it's not a classic but, after all, maybe it isn't even english... But Lotus 7 must be some serious fun...

Even if the Lexus was English it makes too many concessions for being a practical car to be compared to a classic luxury car. It's aerodynamic, offers decent gas mileage, even the shape conforms with the modern efficient car. The older cars, specifically the Rolls was about one thing, luxury. It wasn't fast or particularly reliable but it became synonymous with quiet opulent style.
