Actually the thing is, he never really told me where he was, the car is in Ontario according to him. I'm planning on calling him tomorrow, Im not sure if the number is a US number or a Canadian number though. He said his reason for selling it this low is because he needs the money to solve some unfinished problems from his past.

BTW: the thing that originally threw me off was the fact that he said the car is registered in the US so I shouldnt have a problem registering it here.

actually take the car for a drive before purchasing it. 1: the car is loaded...with what...problems? 2: make sure it feels right (make sure it's a real Supra engine, not some type of junky handbuilt engine...and check if the engine is a swap). 3: check to see that the car does not have any criminal records (stolen or once owned by a criminal mastermind).

Just go and take a look for yourself in person. Don't do a single thing without seeing it and checking the VIN on Carfax.com or something similar.

If it is true, get your ass in gear or someone will beat you to the punch. The "you snooze, you lose" principle applies very much to car buying

I got a reply from him and this is a bit from it.

"You can see, test drive and inspect the car only if you will decide to buy it."

Do any of you find this suspicious?

Possible, he no speak the good english...

Really, I think he just doesn't want kids joy-riding. If you take the car for an inspection and find something wrong, how can he expect someone to purchase then? The price seems really low for a good, clean car. I guy I know bought a '95-'96 non turbo for about $23,000, but the car did only have 20-something thousand miles. Also, this was a couple of years ago, at the height of the Supra craze.

Hey, do you know the guys name? I have also been in contact with him. I wanna see if he is using a different name, story etc. Where is the car now? What email have you been using to communicate with him? Who does he want to ship the car with?

    Let me know.

definetly check the vin thru carfax or one of the other reputable sites for checking car history, and before you buy, ask the guy to take the car to a dealer or car shop that YOU pick to get it checked out, if he refuses then u know something is wrong, then just back away

It's a scam, it's not even worth it.

"Test drive after you buy" ... alright, sure.
