check out this cobra this guy is building. its got all carbon fiber body panels, and its completley set up for the track. its also got a 4 valve twin turbo 4.6 liter in it! should be amazing!

I would think if you could make a fiber glass mold of each panel, you could do it. Could you form carbon fiber like that?

That's how it's allways done, carbon fiber is a cloth type material and the Resine is what gives it the form.

he gives instructions on how to do it later on in the thread. hes expecting the car to actually weigh less than 2400 lbs now too..100 more lbs shaved off an already light car

yeah its insane how much weight savings hes gaining by switching from the steel to the carbon body panels. i wish i had the kind of skill this guy has. only thing i woulda done different was i woulda kept a somewhat usable interior...but this guy has no intentions of driving this car on the road really. its a road race care pure and simple so its cool in that aspect..i'm just a street car fan
