Hmm, here is a great thread with most misleading caption.
Willys-Overland was a US car company, best known for its production of military and civilian Jeeps. The company was bought by Kaiser Motors in the 1950s. When Kaiser Industries decided to leave the automobile business, Kaiser-Jeep was sold to American Motors Corporation in 1970. AMC itself was swallowed by Renault, who later on sold remains of AMC to Chrysler.
One can see that because of aforementioned corporate mess, Jeep was a car produced under numerous names, from Willys MB to Jeep Wrangler (not to mention, the origins of the name "Jeep" itself are not known).
To cut long story short, I think this thread should be named plainly "Jeep, 1940-1987". There is already a thread by smxi dealing with Jeeps from the Chrysler era: Jeep Wrangler 1987-1995
Right, after all this silly gibberish, here a few more high-res. Enjoy!
