Nice to see the main game is dropping those stupid reverse grid races. I call the V8 jnr's the Konicas too, rolls off the tongue better I think.

Yeah i heard about that too and ive got to say i wasnt a fan in 2000 odd when they started and i still oppose them. My father likes them because it raises the ire of most team bosses (he strongly dislikes a number of them cough larry perkins cough)

Well it all a matter of what you get used too in standard conversation me and my friends still call alot of things the name they had when we where kids and what not.

Did anyone see the idiot in the monkey suit running across the track at Darwin on the weekend? The commentators said it was a marshall but having raced at that track and marshalled there as well I can tell you its a good 400 metres to any marshalling point and besides that, the Hidden Valley marshalls are little bit smarter than that I think.

More importantly, did anyone hear one of the commentators comment on him (think it might've been Crompo) "he's built for comfort not speed" I was nearly on the floor I was laughing that much

I grew up in Darwin and let me say that EVERYONE there is built for comfort and not for speed. Actually, to be honest he was quite slim by local standards. Thats what is leading me to believe the guy may have been a Victorian...
