    What do you think is the cheapest way to make a 13 second car?

    well he didn't give me any details, price range, or a location to work with, so i assume he's some millionare who can afford whatever he likes, since he hasn't given any specifics

    what on earth is a 13 second car? That sounds like it would rust away even faster than an Alfasud

    its the 1/4 mile time (according to Matra)

    as i pointed out in that thread, its the ONLY was to measure a cars performance

    13 seconds?

    Isn't that rather slow for a 1/4 mile time?

    Without checking, I think the slowest car on sale in the UK; the Fiat Panda 4x4 does it in 20 something seconds.

    I can't remember how fast, but I think that evo managed to get that down significantly by strapping it to the back of a G55 - maybe that's the answer.

    13 seconds is about the best you can get out of a street FWD.
    A well tuned road going AWD/RWD will get low 12s.
    Pretty much any bike will do 11s

    Well outside of a special "sticky" track.
    Our local drag times are at www.crailthrash.co.uk if you wanted to see how typical times do on cars driven there on the day.

    Im sure if straped enough fireworks it it would be in your budget and it will get you up to the speed you want

    Or plan number 2 is use loads of surgeon tubing and fire your car from a catapult
