My current cars- Calais & Mini

In the garage I have a 1969 Morris Mini K set up for circuit racing, 1330c, 45mm webber, 12 inch superlights, adjustable camber and the list goes on.

Also have a 68 Morris Mini Deluxe under restoration

My daily driver is a 2005 Holden vz 5.7L V8 Calais with 19 inch wheels,
it's my second calais and would have to be one of the most comfortable cars
I have done a long trip in. 3000km in six days!

Hi there! Welcome to UCP and congrats on the nice Minis. The MKI looks so great! The Calais may be nice too. But for us, europeans, it's another heavy Holden.

Can you pls do the "egg-nog"test for us ? It involves sticking a piece of paer with your username on the shifter of the car and taking a picture of it. We have had some kids claiming they really owned an Ferrari/McLaren you name it...

Like that guy who eggnoged "his" M3 and it later turned out to not be his.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

    1969 probably makes it a mk2 or mk3 actually.

i was under the impression people did it to denote the origin of the engine. or it could be a fashion thing, hell i don't know

I changed the grill for looks and obviously the engine make as I am big fan,
as for the sceptics I will get a photo of the user name on the car and post it later.

Heavy Holden eh? I bet you don't even know how much it weighs

So here's a personal challenge .. can you, european, name a euro sedan that offers equivalent interior room & performance to his 'heavy' Calais, yet which weighs less? I doubt you can

Or nominate any euro car of same room/performance, for anywhere near the price? I know you can't

Nice cars mate, that Mini is great! My dad has a VY2 Calais, and you're right, they are just awesome for long trips

I'm sure he could nominate some with nicer interiors and arguably nicer drives though.

with a fraction the reliability..euro brands have a habit of frequently breaking "nice to drive, bad to own"
