On the general tourist days they don't have the full straight open, you start and finish your laps from the old pits on the right hand side of the straight about two thirds of the way along. That's why you often hear about "bridge to gantry" times, where people measure their laptime from the Antonius Buche Bridge (end of hte straight) to the metal gantry at the beginning of the straight.
