My 70 dollar NZ 2.1 Creative Speakers have great sound quality and great bass (admittedly they are in a tiny room) and I havn't ever had any problems at all with the sound, amazing clarity. Great value for money.

We have two computers at home. One has Harman/Kardon speakers and the other is used for presentations for my dads company and has Bang&Olufsen speakers...

I found the B&O's, they are called Beolab 3:

EDIT- perhaps Harman/Kardon should be added to the poll because I think all people that have a Dell standard get those speakers...

For cheaper speakers I prefer Creative, but for high-end PC speakers Logitech's new range is absolutley flawless. I've listened to almost very high-end computer speaker on the market today and I'm still decided that Logitech holds the market fine. Of course, HK/JBL make great looking speakers

@Jorismo - JBL is Harman Kardon

Creatives P380's! Not great, but quite cheap. Once i get an extension lead for it i'll be plugging my Sehnheisser PX100's in!

    Altec Lansing MX5021

Im well proud of my speakers, they sound really good. Very good bass, but it doesnt overpower because theres two mid range speakers per unit, so it goes plenty loud! Piano black finish on the speakers too, looks the business.

Bang for the buck wise, I feel Logitech takes it, but like others have said, Bang & Olufson are better.

wel firstly, altec lansing is a brand, not a company

secondly, the best quality speakers are would be made by companies that most of us may not have even heard of. there are tons of specialty brands out there that make computer-compatible speakers for tens of thousands of dollars. so changing it to "which company has the best sound quality" would be kinda irrelevant.

Yeah but realistically who's going to shell out £35,000 for a pair of B&W Nautilus and connect it to a £1,000 PC ?

Yeah ,but if it focusses on those that are marketed and packaged for the PC market it makes sense.
Calling it "computer speakers" kind of suggested that I htought.

or I would have posted the pic of my B&W DM6s.
We've used them driven by bi-amped Quads in an evenings setup with projector screen for some serious car and bike sim evenings
Sadly, it is a disappointemetn as it exposes every failure in mapping real engine sounds into computer-simulation of sounds ( ie you can here where they switch the modelling of the engine noise at different rev ranges )
BUT initially good for getting the adrenalin going
