    Scientology to Sponsor NASCAR

This is abolutely real and I got a real kick out of reading it:

It's a concept that has endless potential for comic relief, if the recent antics of Tom Cruise and the media scrutiny thereof is any indication. Scientology is presumably making an effort to broaden its appeal by getting involved in NASCAR and sponsoring the Ignite Your Potential racing team. The team's Ford Taurus, driven by Kenton Gray, indicates that the late L. Ron Hubbard himself is the inspiration behind this effort -- the Dianetics logo and replica of the book's cover will adorn the vehicle.

This is absolutely real by the way, it was in the New York Times apparently! A religion sponsoring a racing team, NASCAR nontheless. Whats next..

that jackass known as L.Ron Hubbard supported the violent Japanese invasion and takeover of China. Whew, that felt good. Anyway, that is just weird....
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Scientology and Nascar: A very matching combination....

You know when a religion is blatently fake and created purely for money when they have to advertise themselves Atleast Jesus was a bit less obvious when he did it

I've always made an association between Nascar and religious fanatics so this should fit right in.

Wow, it's the end of the world. The two most unholy things in union.

Soon we'll have fat drunk hicks spouting off about thetans. I guess it's no worse than them spouting off about the baby jesus.
