While Electric motors might get a reasonable take off (infinite torque) the Prius is Limited to around 99-110Mp/H.

It's theoretically possible (if it had the right gearing, which a Prius doesn't) that it could get some good pick-up in a 50 - 70Mp/H 'race', but it's electric motor only works when it's going at slow speeds, so it's relying on a 1.5 or similar to power a heavy car.

That and it's a biased fanboy site dedicated to all that is bad about the green movement. And the original details are vague.

i tried when racing an M3 down a highway.. all downhill.. only reason he beat me ( i had low profiles on the car) is because he tops around 150.

Hmm... Interesting point. I'd imagine if you threw a Prius and an M3 nose first out of a plane at the same time, the Prius would actually probably win, due to it's (presumably) better drag coefficient and therefore theoretical higher terminal velocity. And I'm all for throwing Priuses (priii?) and M3s out of planes. I hates em both
