Just because they're in denial about their true fuel efficiencies doesn't mean they need to be in denial about their quarter miles too.

While Electric motors might get a reasonable take off (infinite torque) the Prius is Limited to around 99-110Mp/H.

It's theoretically possible (if it had the right gearing, which a Prius doesn't) that it could get some good pick-up in a 50 - 70Mp/H 'race', but it's electric motor only works when it's going at slow speeds, so it's relying on a 1.5 or similar to power a heavy car.

That and it's a biased fanboy site dedicated to all that is bad about the green movement. And the original details are vague.

    So ya, Smell the BS.

They're absolutely pathetic, I feel like registering just to drop a bomb in that forum.

i tried when racing an M3 down a highway.. all downhill.. only reason he beat me ( i had low profiles on the car) is because he tops around 150.

It's a perfectly reasonable comment - they WERE going downhill.

ANYONE, however, who thinks thats a drag race needs their head read - it's more a gravity Race

its confusing to think of these people, who bought the prius most likely to be environmentally friendly, having such a noobish need for speed

I've seen enough here. I can't imagine what the dedicated forums are like.

I do know the Owner ones aren't that bad, though.

Hah all those Prius owners are out of their minds, the Prius takes a good 12 seconds to 60mph... their race "competitors" were probably going easy on them to make them feel good about themselves.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.

or maybe they are just delusional about what kind of car they bought and whether people are actually racing them
