Because some company had already trademarked the winged horse (I can't remeber which was), and as a result Pegaso choosed to have a flying horse... without wings...It's totally different. The horses are clearly jumping in opposite directions.
Btw, I've always wondered why it isn't a clear Pegasus in the Pegaso badge.
