Rofl, but that's why it's fun, every game's gotta have an unrealistic something. Especially it's a massive multiplayer.

What about Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter? A few years ahead of time but everything's way too possible to lack realism.

Then why didnt you say so, your statement was very broad and generalised, amongst the other games available, COD and COD2 and not very realistic at all. Can't believe how many times ive gotten away with just a thompsan and wiped out a whole team. You need a realism mod for that game, and even then, the rate of which your player crouches, dives to the ground etc. is highly exaggerised. Play america's army, rainbow six etc. for realism. I think YOU are the laughing stock, ease up turbo, no need for the capitals. Oh and by the way, once a game is scripted, the realism goes out the window, bye bye COD.

Gotta agree Blitz. In COD2, if you're good enough, you can beat the game without dieing 10 times. The no-health bar, and wait-to-recover just kills part of the realism.

yes because being able to fire a .50 cal sniper rifle free hand is so terribly realistic...

Your closed mind disgusts me. yes, compared to those games, it may not be very real, but compared toe the thousands of other games, they are. You lose 2 to thousands.

Your misconception about scripted games lackign realism is preobably rooted in your disrespect for history.

And you may think I am the laughing stock, but we KNOW it is actually you.

like what... there are hundreds of games of similar realism... and technically since a majority of the gunfights in CoD didn't happen in real life it's just as fictional as Halo.

You can find realism in: Call of Duty
That's why the people do backflips and other nifty little aerobic exercises when you hit them with grenades and rocket launchers.

if you wanted realism the only game that comes close is rainbow six: raven shield and earlier rainbow six games
Even soldier of fortune is fairly real for its time, now there's a fun game.

Just give up. I would go into detail here but it's nearly 4 a.m., I worked a 12 hour shift, and I'm drunk, so I'll save it for tomorrow.

All FPS games have their fictional alter-egos, COD included.

mate, im not disrespectful of history, I happened to achieve top honours in my history class my last year of college. For example, if we did go for realism and made a true Omaha beach level, luck would be your only chance of even surviving.

By the way, my mind isn't so closed, im aware of the plethora of games out and about, especially those FPS war themed games that have the common public (i.e. you) misinformed about the containing realism.

p.s. I, the laughing stock? surely not! I am indeed laughing, but more so at you me dear. Have fun child.

True, but if it was real, we'd be seeing arms, limbs, and all kinds of gore if they didn't do backflips.

Actually, I would consider a medkit to be real to an extent.
