i dont mind it actually.. pretty nice. its better then the old model IMHO...
i think that it could look meaner all over though, as said before, the sides and back dont just have any muscle compared to the front.

The rear lights only look larger on the Calais because of the wrap-around effect of the rear spoiler.

They are larger, compare both of them in terms of the distance the base of the light sits from the line that runs above the number plates...

What a curious design decision......

Calais lights are definately bigger, which also makes the rear bar heights different. Looking at the pics i'd guess they're about 1.5 inches larger.
They did the same thing with VY-VZ aswell

Even though im comparing a FPV to a non holden hsv model, I still think a GT-P in red with white stripes kills the SS-V in exterior looks, i've seen one with quad pipes and its definetly alot more appealing to me.
House said the perfect woman was a man...now im all confused!!

- The line for the PS3
Having seen the cars in actuality... they do seem smaller in size as compared to previous years' models. the trunk seems to have been shaved a tad bit.
what i really love about the cars though is that the bulge sticking out of the front tires... and the best thing is the air intakes with side lights... on the sides... that adds to the glamor of the cars. The Caprice is a sure winner... from the back it reminds you of an Audi, and from the front it reminds you of an LS430.
The best car out of all though, is definitely the SS V. The front immediately reminds you of a muscle car... and the back sort of looks like a Mazda/Astra...
My friend who's part of the designing team @ holden told me... that they took the best parts of Ford,Mazda etc and combined em...
The bulge in the tires are called wheel arches and the 'intakes' are fake vents which don't actually take in air - or vent it out.Originally Posted by @$im
