I'd go for either the 3 or the VXR, but I haven't seen a road test of the 3 yet

Clio wasn't in the area I was going for...hatches with turbos (sorry should have been more specific). The Megane is a good point, but certainly not many around that I've seen.

Just decided to put the poll here as I have been for a drive in the Mazda and it was quite nice...but I also like the Golf alot too. And I own an older model TS Astra Turbo so its an interesting comparison for me. Personally I still prefer my car even though it has similar characteristics to the Golf (though worse handling, its a great car).

Id go with the Focus, (which is the XR5 turbo in Aust.), mainly because im a ford man but also because of the engine it has, the l5 turbo.
I would mine the GTi or 3 but XR5 is my 1st choice.

I'd go with the Golf GTI, best all-rounder probably.

Pug gti 180.. Clarkson loved it, Vicky didnt.. I trust Clarkson more. Renault Clio 197 or that Megane RS. French cars arent very common in the performance department.. everyone wows when a fast one comes out, they also offer the best handling IŽd say.

The car that is considered by 99% of the jounalists as a dynamic flop from Peugeot? Of course Clarkson had to love it.
You trust Clarkson more why? I have never seen him actualy driving a car. At least Vicky can drive a car fast around a track without spinning
