I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Fleet, I gotta say, this must be the first time I disagree with ya! I never did like that spoiler on the Daytonas...

Well, they were not built to be pretty! They were built for only one purpose- to go faster on the NASCAR tracks.
The only reason they were for sale to the public was so they could be qualified as a production car.

Incidentally, the front end of the Daytona had a spoiler, the wing in the rear is known as a "stabilizer."

Compare a Charger Daytona to a Ford Talladega King Cobra (link below). On the Ford, it looks like they started building it before the front end was finalized- the front end on the Charger Daytona is much sleeker-looking.

Now compare to a Charger Daytona:

And I certainly prefer the styling of the Charger Daytona to the current "Dodges," with their stubby, blob-like styling.

Right. The first oval device to top 200 mph on a closed-course (a world record at the time).

I know. At least the Daytona has a "finished" look to it. Long and streamlined.
BTW, here is a trivia question:
What car has a longer overall length...
    '69 Dodge Charger Daytona
    '69 Cadillac Coupe de Ville

    Answer:

    '69 Charger Daytona (226.5"); '69 Cadillac DeVille is 225.0".

Every car that races is a race car... NASCARs are just as impressive as any other "racing device" - 900bhp+ from a pushrod motor is cool.

Anyway - are we talking about a race car to have in your garage that you can use?

I would have a Paul Radisich BTCC Mondeo and probably a Lancia Delta S4. I would have to have an F1 car too, so it would be the latest one that I could find from one of the top teams.

Although, maybe the ultimate dream race car would be a WRC Spec Prodrive Scoob - it would be road legal, how funny would it be to take that to the McDonalds drive through of a Friday night?! Eat my anti-lag chav boy!

I forgot about the daytona charger and the Superbird. The superbird sure is a strange but beautiful beast.
