    something funny about that

they know people need to go places and so we have no choice but to pay for whatever they charge and the oil companies know that, so they raise the prices.
We have major problems with that here. The price can jump 10c p/l a day for no reason. No jump in oil price.

The thing that really annoys me is world parity pricing. Here in Australia, the companies can charge what it costs to produce in Singapore, which is a lot more than it costs to produce here.

Oil is only a declining resource in the same way the sun is a declining resource - we have loads left.

Besides that, why do you think no really decent alternative feul car has been developed?! Because no one has had to do it yet, so no one has bothered.

You'll know when we're really running out of oil when either there's a strangely abrupt upturn in the feasibility of these cars as alternatives to normal petrol motors, or Ferrari make an electric car!

The oil shortage is, to an extent, just clever marketing.

Every country should do what the french did and refuse to pay what the oil companys ask, unsurprisingly they got a discount.
