Cause he sold his VW Golf IV and needed a new company car.

Probably because they want us to believe that the car is made by god's hands cause it's so "good".

The Golf was his car before he became pope. It was sold on ebay recently for an obscene amount of money by the new owner.

The Enzo, IIRC, was built and then auctioned in the pope's name for charity. The current owner is not the pope, and this car can be separated from the rest of the Enzos by writing on the inside of the front "boot".

Here is an interesting article about Stefan Erikkson, the Swedish millionaire behind the 'Gizmondo' games console, who was the guy who trashed an Enzo at close to 200mph while racing an SLR on the public highway. Sounds like a thoroughly nice chap.....not.

    Well what an annoying article...
The first paragraph tells about the crash...the rest is just about random crap about the guy that wrote it that I cant be bothered reading...
And it ends in "Continued on page 2", but there is no second page! Just a bunch of letters at the bottom without links?
    Whatever.

Look at the condition of the Ferrari. You can still open the door! But it is clean in half!
    Did the SLR get airborne?

Obviously you haven't read this thread. Just go to the link in post #3 for the full story. And by the way the Enzo is designed to break in two in high impact crashes.

    The article still annoys me...
My point about the Enzo was that it seemed that it was in almost perfect condition chassis wise, despite getting airborne and splitting in half.
I wasnt trying to put it down for splitting.

I'm pretty sure there aren't any wrecked Enzo's in the world.

I think they would all have been restored after crashes as Ferrari and their owners probably wouldn't just want to throw their $1,000,000 supercar on the scrap heap.

You really think somebody will restore this?
