oh and money isnt really an issue just becuase when i find a job i have abot 1250 right now in the bank and i dont get my license until the 30th of august and if i can find a job i will be making payments.... but i also kind of like having the idea of having back seats and the only kind of 300zx i would buy would be a 300zx tt two seater because wheel base is 15in shorter in the two seater and the rx-7 is also only a two seater but i do like the idea of an old m3

    300ZX...don't get the turbo

    RX-7...hard and expensive to maintain

    I'd go for the M3

but the M3 is cheap (old one)...but on the other hand, parts are expensive...so no M3. How about an old Toyota Supra Turbo?

I'd get a cheapo banger for your first car. You'll crash your first car, no doubt about it. Think of it this way ... do you want to write off a cheap car and then move onto a performance car or do you want to write off a performance car and then be stuck with a banger until you have more money? Trust me, going from a performance car to an econobox really kills.

You can't be certain that he'll crash, apparently there is "only" a 70% chance ¬_¬

Hmm, I happen to like 240SX's! One of my favorite modern vehicles.

Otherwise...MR/2. It's another one of my favorite modern vehicles. It's worlds better than the Prelude in almost every regard, and the two are pretty even on the gas mileage...but like others have said, insurance will probably suck you dry.

I'd have to agree on getting a beater car though. I never got into an accidednt proper, but did get my first car scraped up. You don't want to get something you'll like too much for a first car. Just drive it around for a year and then upgrade.
An it harm none, do as ye will

What about the Prelude's image of being a boy street-light racer?
