Next time you go ahead and say an engine, car, whatever is "garbage" may I suggest explaining why? Love to see an ls1 haul an 1800kg car like the boss has to, THEN we'll talk.

    EDIT: $5 he's a fanboy from the ls1 forums
My VP hauled a bricklayers trailer of over 1500kg does that count.
Pretty good effort i say from the old boy

Would that sub 13 count with the sub 5 gto

As somebody suggested earlier, you DID fall out of a tree, didn't you? You must have.

That white HSV looks too ugly to be real, however if it is, then FPV has nothing to worry about in the looks department

I don’t know whether I like the original lights better but the VY rear took a while to grow on me anyway. I said before that HSV had to try to disseminate between its product and the donor model more drastically to protect the buyers form loosing so much in resale when newer models come out so I applaud this course of action. I think that while the front lights look similar to the BA the overall car leaves Ford now a bit behind style wise.

Styling aside (and there isn’t much in it, very subjective) the current IS250 is $78,000 with a 6cy so we will have to see what this IS500 costs. I would hazard the R8 would be below it though. The HSV is also a larger car so is not directly comparable either. What mark have they actually missed? As for M5, M3 and Audi there is no comparison. If you have the money take your choice but the HSVs, despite their intended aspirations, represent excellent value vs. spec and performance for large, rear wheel drive V8 sedans. Beyond anything else at the price (Ford Australia excluded).
I like the look of the IS500 to by the way.

Dont get me wrong the new VE HSV will be tremendous value for money, Im just saying Holden have been saying the new VE is very European in styling, so I thought the new body kit would be slightly more subtle eg M5,RS4. Saying that if a R8 lobbed in my driveway, I certainly wouldnt be sad.

I didnt put the IS500 as a direct competitor to the HSV as you could probably buy 2 for HSV for the price of one IS500. Just the styling of the IS I prefer.
IMHO I would buy a HSV senator as I love their style. Sadly cant afford one

Look closer and you may find there is no sheet metal at the back of that car other than the boot lid.
