debatable...
the 1UZ hasnt been tested and trialled anywhere near as thoroughly as the 2JZ but it IS renowned for its strength you are quite right.

I'm not sure. They have a good track record in reliability, apparently (though our last experience with a Japanese car makes me wonder...), but don't have any really endearing, emotionally arousing qualities about them, even the fast ones or the expensive ones. The exception there that I can think of is probably the Datsun/Nissan Z-cars. And I for one have never been too hot on the peaky natures of the high specific output engines the Japanese seem to be so fond of (unless it's on a bike - then it's just plain fun).

get inside an NSX, S2000, or RX7 and say you arn't aroused by them ...
in many ways an s2000 would be more arousing then an RS4, M3, or M5
but if you're talking about emotional feel then i guess its different for every1, if you like euro cars more then obviously you'd be more excited in a euro car as opposed to a jap one
these generalization threads tend to have many similarities dont they? from what they are about and the type of people who start them.
did i just make a generalization?

Many Asian cars are very exciting such as the Honda NSX, Mazda RX-7, Honda S2000 etc.. I love Asian car and I love European cars and I would say overall, Asian and European cars are equally the best cars in the world.Originally Posted by Eurocar

Been in an NSX, my Mom's old boss had one. Wasn't that exciting. Then again, it was a '91, which he bought brand new as sort of a placeholder until he could afford a Ferrari. Later NSX's probably had some more power.Originally Posted by KnifeEdge_2K1
Incidentally, as soon as he took delivery of his Ferrari 360, the NSX was bye-bye.
I was remiss, though, in saying that Japanese cars have a deservedly excellent reputation in the fuel economy department, however.

Oh and you feel like you're always in a light tin car that begs for a twisty road to squirt around on. Trust me I know.
