The Cayenne, Touareg and Q7 are virtually all the same thing unless I got something very wrong. I think they are all based on the same platform or whatever, but their guts and obviously their designs are different.

I prefer using live words because to me a car is more than just a piece of machinery, it has a soul too. I don't do any drugs in case anyone's wondering. I'm just hopelessly obsessed.

Yep, I can relate. Not to liking the Q7, but liking a car no-one else seems to

I'm sure if someone put a Q7 and a Sedona in front of you, you'd hop right in that Van. Pshhhh.

    Its big, heavy AND ugly.

Refreshing design? are u nuts? it looks like an Inflated A6.

And i would take a cayenne Turbo S over any Q7. ( if i had to absolutely waste my money on a luxurious SUV)

I have to agree with ZeTurbo's comment... in my opinion I hate the ugly and boring Audi Q7. I would choose the Porsche Cayenne Turbo if I wanted to buy an SUV.

The Audi Q7 is one of the best premium SUVs out there. Range Rovers are a getting little too common nowadays and BMW X5s are getting a bit old. The Mercedes ML is too 'chic' for me and the Cayenne is UGLY! The Touraeg however is a VW. Some of the Q7's good points are: it has the most seats (7 seats vs 5 seats in the Cayenne, Touareg, Range Rover, X5 & ML), it has the infamous Audi quattro system underneath, which means it can go futher off road and by off road i mean not the soccer-field off road, i mean Pikes Peak off road. Yes the Range Rover can do the same but come on, people that buy Range Rovers usually have pretentions to a managed estate in Hampshire. People who buy a Q7 pn the ther hand have houses in the countryside, have big families and even bigger wallets! And as for its looks. Well ok i'll admit that its not the most prettiest of things but it will grow on you. Trust me. When my mum first drove our new Q7 back from the dealership, i thought that it looked liked a whale. but now, 2 months on its looks have grown on me. Ah but the only thing wrong that i've found with the Q7 is the new X5-which has 7 seats.

It's design isn't "fresh" it looks like what it is, a slightly changed Touareg/Cayenne. And it's not exactly techno-savvy, everything that's on it can be found on other cars, the lesson being, don't believe commercials and marketing hype, PR/Advertising/Marketing people are trained to bullshit to you.

Why have I yet to see a Q7 in the countryside driving around with more than 4 seats occupied ? Scratch that, I haven't seen a single Q7 with more than 2 seats occupied and they sure were all driving on nicely paved roads.

I really really really hope that someday all these SUVs will get banned in Europe (I doubt this will ever happen in the US).

Add me to your msn. You look at cars the exact same way I do.

Tell me if this is right... when you look at a car on the road, you don't see what other people see, and that's a mode of transport. You see a moving piece of art, just going place to place.

I hardly think you're on drugs, I just think that you, like me, are obsessed.
