Dont get a new car as you probably wont find anything on the market good enough anymore, unless you want to put alot of money into a standard LandCruiser (and i think you guys dont get any models with the solid front axle)

More specifically, it was engineered to meet the rigorous demands of the U.S. armed forces who needed a vehicle with power, agility and durability like nothing in existence. Strip away some refinements and creature comforts, and the HUMMER H1 is still the "HUMVEE" so trusted and respected by the military.
They say it was pretty much engineered to defeat any obstacles that the US Army may need to defeat. Do you agree. If it is really that good is there actually any alternative to the Hummer H1/ Humvee.

    That's correct...

I think hardcore off roaders would only consider Toyotas Land Cruisers and Land Rover Defenders. Land Cruiser are kings not only in Oz, but also in Latin America and Africa.

I think all new off roaders are too fat to be good. Specially the FJ Cruiser... what where they thinking?

However solid axles can hamper ground clearance. Whereas independent suspension allows the whole underbody to be covered with a giant skid plate which will protect the engine, transmission, transfer case, etc.

Ground clearance is only an issue in this case where something passes under the car between the wheels. I any case where the wheels are lifted the whole axle lifts increasing ground clearance. Independent suspension leaves the centre of the car pretty much where it was thus decreasing clearance.

    -cannot get stuck in mud
    -as non-gas guzzling as possible
    -Gas Mileage
-move in a certain level of water- (i don't mean moving like a boat or anything, if it can move in an low level water which vehicle can do, then thats good)
-very important (reliable- as reliable as a Toyota, i don't mean just go choose a toyota)
-for example go over a few trees that dropped on the ground
-you can actually buy it, and then if you want to mod and tune it later on then thats okay. so what i'm saying is, its not something that a person cannot buy
    -looks is not a requirement
You need to add low range to your list if you really want an effective off road vehicle.
Go outback in Australia and you will see Nissans, Toyotas and Landrovers. Something that we are always concern of is availability of parts and someone who can work on your car. Get too exotic and you will be loading it on to a truck for a ride home.
Our group have 8 80/100 series Landcrusiers, a Patrol, A Pajero and A Isuzu dual cab. We have all had issues with reliability from time to time but the majority of us are on our second or third Cruisers and see no reason to change.

That's true, but with keeping the vehicle more level comes the benefit of having the center of gravity lower which will make the possibility of flipping less likely.

I have read where people do that. I think that has more to do with the driver in all honesty.
