Stabbed in the left side of the chest which lead to a heart attack

I think we should have a national day of mourning. He was so passionate about wild life, even after all his success and money (even though he put most of his money into his zoo and 2 charitiy progams) he was still down to earth. His energey and quotes will be missed.

Well I'm sure that's how he would've wanted to go...

I've always had a soft spot for the guy, and its a real shame. I believe he's also got two young children, so it'll be hard for them too. He was a great person, a bit of a nutter it has to be said, but he loved what he did and that's great.

That is sad news to me..
As a guy who also love wildlife on sea and land, I have been a fan since the first program I saw him..
When I saw it now in the news I hoped it was just a scam, as last time someone set out roumers about him beeing dead..
But it seems this time he is gone.. He will be missed..
My thoughts to his children and wife..

when that is said, I'm glad he died doing the thing he loved, and not in a car accident or something else..

to give you an idea of contributions he has bought up large tracts of land for wildlife preservation, donates millions to vet clinics so they can treat wildlife for free, and 5th year Vet students do most of their fifth year practical/field work at Australia zoo and the associated vet clinic.
    he will be missed..

RIP Steve, you will be sorly missed, I don't there has ever been a time in my life where I have missed someone saying something quirky or smart, but I now do. Steve, your an inspiration to the conservation of wild life and the environment in which we live, and unfortunately mistreat. Rest in peace. Crikey
