Do you want to tell that again but then to the mothers, fathers and friends of those dead ? Around my little town there are plenty of popular roads to race on.for both bikes AND cars. Last year 6 bikers and 3 cars crashed fatally. They simply under or oversteered right out of the corners and crahed into whatever was available. My (dads) colleague has hit 4 bikers in 3 years time. He lives in a tiny country road just past a fast turn in the road. He has had some reaqlly big claims from bikers who wanted money. All times he was in court,he didnt have to pay. He simply could NOT have seen them coming. The record for it stands on 315 km/h through a blind turn

As you notice i am a strong opponent and have witnessed myself one accident. The guys were racing on their tuned-scooters.One got past the blind intersection safely the second was hit by a car and got his head under the tires. Like a melon... not a pretty sight i must say Luckily he was just a tourist and not someone i knew

I can understand 100% how much fun it may be.I know one person who enjoys street racing too,but he knows where to stop. If he sees a blind intersection he slams the brakes even if it's empty. If he gets over xx speed he brakes. He doesnt care if he loses,he wants to have fun,but SAFELY. That is IMHO the way it should go.

I hate street racing. I was nearly hit by a car (two drivers were street racing, they were driving cheap and old cars as well) and I would have been killed or seriously injured if the car hit me (the car missed hitting me by less than a meter).

street racing is just a tad safer than drunk driving, but both mostly end up in.......death of people, or its like smoking, you pay to get yourself killed(in this case, bets and stuff like that).
You obvesely havent seen a real street race. Even the ones done in traffic are from a 40 roll and they let out way before the get to the cars in front of them. I dont exactly get how that isnt that safe? I know there traveling at a high rate of speed but ohnestly its not that bad just a random burst of accerlation.

There are two types of street racing unorganized reckless behavior and organized racing. Reckless is the type that kills, no regard for people or civilians no limits no stopping etc. Organized is usually done a closed road with little or no people on it. It is very safe and controlled.

IT'S ON PUBLIC STREETS, THATS ILLEGAL! AND YOU CAN'T GARAUNTEE NO ONE WILL GET KILLED OR THAT THERE WILL BE NO PROPERTY DAMAGE!!!!! IF IT'S ON THE STREET ITS WRONG, THERE IS NO ARGUEMENT.

It comes down to, its illegal and if you want to get into a debate over why its illegal or why we even have laws go ahead. Oh and people who street race are a big factor in why insurance is so f*cking high!!!

You cant guarantee no one will get killed on a track or there will be no property damage to someone.

And everyone participating knows that, even spectators. Wall/track damage is expected deaths aren't, BUT the racers and fans know sh*t happens. You can't say that about some innocent pedestrian.

Street racing is totally foolish sp. in city limits.
I've heard a lot about racing on deserted roads, and its usually safer, but anything can happen..... Like me, i SERIOUSLY wrecked my Pontiac Lemans in a street race on a 'closed section' of a road. I was one shitty driver.
Today when I recall it, i still get the chills. I was EXTREMELY LUCKY

They do dangerous maneuvors, trying to cut the other. Apllying brakes right in fornt of the others and go round corners at far above the safe speed.Call that safe ? I dont atleast.

Thats what Im talking about if you use restraint you will be alright in most cases.
99,99% of all people dont use/have restraint. They get carried away as well...

These people make it impossible for me to buy a car. Thanks so much you F***KERS !!!! My insurance premium would be 29x higher than that of my dad for the same car. 29x !!!!

I dont see there being a lot of pedestrian deaths in street racing at 4am. The last time I checked street racing has no people just aimlessly walking on the street maybe some spectators, but those spectators are well aware of what can go wrong.

what makes you say i haven't seen a real street race? i have, i didn't race there but i have.(i know the locations where people meet and everything).

btw anything can go wrong, whether its a new car or an old 1, just anything can happen, a bump on the street(member that enzo?, supposely an almost legal place to do so, lucky the guy was in an enzo, make that a mustang or a trans am, guy wouldn't have survived), little bit of oil can make a car spin out @ high speed, then the car can go right into crowds or just anybody that may be passing around.

I don't condone street racing. Eventually you 150hp civic might give you a couple car lengths but darwin ALWAYS catches up. Have fun, and hope you kill yourself because that's one less moron out on the road that i'll have to worry about.
