    Loeb breaks an arm...

According to all reputable motorsports websites, Sebatian Loeb has broke an arm in a quad cycle accident, but I bet the accident happended while he was playing tennis!

Seriously now, apparently he has retired from next event.

It's strange, there have been conflicting reports just like with Montoya's accident. Some reports say he fell off a quad-bike, others say he fell off his mountain bike whilst endurance training. Don't know why the discrepancies.

Either way, injury is just about the only way for Seba to NOT win this weekend, he's just been so ridiculously dominant this season. It would be tragic if it puts him out long term and allows Gronholm to win the title, but knowing Loeb he'll probably be back in a few weeks and kicking ass again.

There was an ARC driver who broke his thigh bone in a crash.. a month later, when doctors told him he wouldn't be walking, he won the next event. Simon Evans: champion! A broken arm is childs' play, Loeb will be back in no time.

Not a Loeb fan though... so as unfortunate as it is for him.. whoooo!

Didnt you ever watch your dad rolling a ciggy and cracking a tinny open, steeren with his knees??? A broken arms a bludge, nice strong cast and he'll be in the car in 3 days.
I share his pain though, I crushed a kidney when I flipped a quad bike... not fun. Hospital food sux.

I've driven one-armed before (sliced open a hand befire driving home) but it wasn't exactly rally driving. I recokns he'd be driving better with both arms fully able... but it'd be more fair with one of his arms in a sling.

Somebody from Citroen Sport told me yesterday that he fell with his bicycle. They are still confident that he will return before the end of the season...

Your all nuts, thinking he can race with a cast. In rally you need every part of your body fully functinable. SPECIALLY your limbs...

Im willing to bet though Loeb would still be fast enough to score points with the cast.

From memory I think it was Colin MaCrae sp? that broke or dislocated his thumb, and had a specially made gear change system or something like that. Im sure I heard of something very close to that.

Well with the paddles i'd imagine they'd need a fair degree of wrist flexibility, something a cast doesnt allow, so anyone with a cast may have to go back to the shifter and simply bash it around.
