RS4 is so awesome but the Cab sucks, M6 FTW.

Btw those aren't very flattering pics of the M6....

I'd rather have the sedan and coupe versions of the RS4 and M6 respectively - I prefer convertibles if they're purpose-built (Boxter,MX5 etc) rather than changing another car into a convertible.

Out of these two, they're both great, but I'd rather have the RS4 for a few reasons. It's more understated from the outside, better inside, and the M6 is just too complicated for its own good.

The M6 has an awesome engine, and its faster - just too many settings, too-complicated SMG, and iDrive and stuff... If the M6 (and M5 for that matter) just had a proper 6-speed manual, and one setting (full 500hp all the time, hardest suspension setting etc), that'd probably be enough to change my call.

What is this fast and the furious? Who really gives a sh*t about the carbon fiber roof, plus anyone looking for a convertible doesn't want a roof in the firstplace. Btw the M6 cabriolets chassis is stiffer then the coupes chassis without the roof....

The RS4 for me. It has the infamous Audi quattro sytem underneath and on the outsde to my eyes, it just looks better than the M6. The M6 is a very good car. Its fast, powerful and a techological tour-de-force, but it is so God danm ugly! Why on earth would anyone be foolish enough to pay so much for a car so ugly! If i do buy an M6, i would sell it and use ALL the money to pay for therapy! So it definatley the Audi for me.

M6, absolutely! The RS4 Cario always reminds me of a powerful bathtub. Look at it, it's just too...squared! It seems like it comes from the 80s - and I like some shapes from the 80s... But it must have been built IN the 80s.

Just to point out, did you know that BMW cannot produce the M5/M6 with a manual? I read that if BMW had done that, the gear lever would have had "strange positions"... So it built that fantastic 7 spd.

As much as i love the RS4, id have to say M6 on this one but its not a fair comparaison. The RS4 is compete against the M3. The M6 should be compaired with the all new R8.

By the way, here's some more flattering pics of the M6 convertible found on AutoSpies.com

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere recently that they were developing a manual for the M5/M6 because of poor sales in America - can somebody clarify for me?

Aside from that, this comparison is unfair - RS4 based off a small/mid-size sedan, M6 based off a big GT coupe, which in turn is based off a full-size sedan (5 Series). There is also a big price gap. A better match for the RS4 Convertible will be the new M3.

Out of these two, I'd still have the RS4 for the reasons I've outlined above.

Bollocks, you can get a manual 6-series, if that's BMWs excuse that's just shite
