<EuroBias> Get the Dub. It's got a nicer interior, probably better resale, and if he ever gets tired of only 150hp, that 20v is infinitely upgradable. </EuroBias>

Hey thanks guys fr all your suggestions. Out of the cars you guys suggested, i think the Clio 197 might just be the choice for him. But his partner wants him to either get a Suzuki or a Mini. He doesn't mind if its a high maintainace, just as long as it can hold on to its value. He wants to buy a new car before christmas so that he has a few months to decide.

The Mini will hold onto its value. It's one of the few cars in Britain that does actually retain a lot!

Just make sure he stays away from slly colours and nasty options... a Cooper S in electric blue with the Chili pack is a safe bet

I just nailed a guy in a 2.0 Toyota Carina he was desperate to get past me, but he can't drive hills for shit. Down to 2nd... floor it... hold it to 5,000, quick shift to third, hold that until the brow of the hill, into 4th, quickly into 5th. He sucked, as in didn't get past me

Pfft I could have held him off and I'm sure my car has half the power.

Granted, I wouldn't be able to do it without contact

Hell, why not buy the BMW M3! etc..

Mainly because the S3 is nearly half again what the Golf GTi costs, and is a little questionable on how much better it is to drive, apparently. Hell, for S3 money you could have an R32 with 3000 quid (no pounds button here..) to spend on modding it.

I just realised it looks there like I'm encouraging rice.. I mean useful mods, more power etc. Just thought I'd clarify that.

My mum would actually murder me if I started playing dodgems with the traffic, I think!!

Well... I'll try it out tonight, I really want to fishtail someone

It was the driving at 100mph that was the problem though, nothing to do with you.

    The government would agree too.
