One less thing to do before I die...

Unfortunately I haven't been sent any good photos yet, so this one will have to suffice. I'll post more when I get 'em.

I went skydiving. It was sweet. Jumped from over 2kms up and went around 200km/h before the chute was pulled (For the record, I'm not one of the two in the photo - I was on the ground when that was taken)

    You guys should try it.

I've always wanted to go skydiving ... if I take a gap year I think I'll save up a little and go do it with some friends. Bungee-jumping has never attracted me; hurts your neck and spine apparently.

Congrats on having the guts to actually go out and do it

    Sweet!

I take it you went tandem and not solo? Either way that had to be a rush

Man, that's a total rip-off! The place we used was $200, and it would've been cheaper if we had gotten a group deal.

Badda: It was tandem. You can't legally go solo until you've done at least 3 certified jumps.

Edit: By the way, it was surprisingly un-scary. A couple of my friends were saying that bungee jumping was a lot worse as far as the fear part goes - with skydiving it's so completely unreal that you don't really have a concept of what's going on. Definitely a rush, but I wouldn't call it frightening.

I wouldn't be scared of something like that. The least experienced jumpmaster at the place we went to had done over 4,000 jumps in his life. The most experienced guy had done almost 15,000. If that doesn't reassure you I don't know what will

Damn, There are not many places where you can do that around here, so i guess maybe thats why the prices are so high, no competition.
