We haven't reached the end of time. why is he the greatest? Has the FIA thought about handing the trophy before the end of the season like they did for Senna (he was so good they thought about giving him the trophy before the season ended)?Originally Posted by sicilian973-2
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Probably, given that he won the championship with several races to spare a few times.Originally Posted by kingofthering

What the hell are you talking about?Originally Posted by kingofthering
In absolute terms, which mean numbers, Schumacher is the most successful F1 racer ever. No way to deny that.
He wont be delivered any trophy because unfortunately he won't win the championship (unless something extraordinary happens).
Senna was never delivered the trophy because he was way better (though he was one hell of a driver). That would be stupid. You are probably referring to a year in which he became champion some races before the end of the season. That's just it. Many racers won the championship before the end of the season. What's so extraordinary about that?
Money can't buy you friends, but you do get a better class of enemy.
Coming back to the original question posted by ferrarifreak013. Schumi's engine failed because of a faulty intake valve. It was determined by the Ferrari engineers that it had been a specific material fault, so they don't need to change anything in their engines for the final race.
As for Schumi's superiority as a driver - ona may not like him (me for instance ). But there's no way to deny that he's beaten everyone in numbers. And, after all is said and done, that's what F1 is about - the statistics
It's not denial. I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.
