GT4 Problem, Why is it so hard in some races?

    Hey All,

recently ive been working my way through GT4 aiming for the glorious 100% completion. However ive gotten to 69% and hit a problem, in the Opel Speedster series, it is IMPOSSIBLY hard. i hard modified every single thing on the car, nothing can be improved yet all races are still 200 A spec points in difficulty. Even the non turbo cars pull away from me on a straight!!!

basically its holding me up and is being hugely annoying, can someone explain this? ive had a simliar problem with the Peugot 206 series and the Alpine series but not this extreme...

    any suggestions or explanations appreciated.

What have you done setup wise? It could be that your car needs to be perfected on each track.

So does GT4 change the performance of cars as it gets harder?

It shouldnt. I'll have a look at the opel speedster series though and see how it is.

Just tried it and had no problems winning all 5 races. The A spec points were only between 143 and 145 though, youre positive youve put everything on the car?

lol i just finished this series yesterday. i'm at about 90.4%. yeah i realized it was hard but i a-speced it and beat them. mine was 143 points though. i didn't fidn it hard. i drove horribly too. i find that GT4 is pretty easy to do compared to GT3. but the opel speedster is a hard car to drive. it seems like u can't push it harder but u actually can. doens't give u good feedback. i prefer a Lotus Elise

I found it the opposite, GT4's less forgiving with braking and accelerating.

Bluey I had this same problem when I did the speedster race. I got beat by the non turbo cars every time so I finally sold the turbo and put all the mods on the nonturbo. It still took me forever to win, got I hate that car.

Thats weird then, maybe its just a fault or something in the game. I wont say it was easy, it took a straight mind to win as the other guys were always there when i slipped up. On the same note, i won first time every race.

I had the same issue with the speedster (bought the turbo, modded everything) and had 200 point races... but I just knuckled down and won them.

I won the speedster race but I hated the car.....an Elise in the game for whatever reason drove much better....the thing just refuses to turn in properly...

I used a turbo, tuned it up to the max and had 250 point races where I just drove past them and ended up being several seconds ahead by the end of the first lap and I'm TERRIBLE at Gt4. So it must be a bug.
