    Public Service Announcement.

I am truly a HD convert now. I picked up a set of component cables for my PS2 today. Came home, popped GT4 in, and went a'racin'. Wow. What a difference. I could barely recognize the game. Even the menus looked smoother. I could actually read the names of cars on our 52" widescreen. I'm in love.

So all of you, if your TV has component hookups, do yourself a favor. Get yourself some quality cables. You don't necessarily need the $60 Monster cables. But definitely the OEM quality ones. You won't soon regret it.

Now to talk her into a new stereo receiver and a nice 12" subwoofer. Then my setup shall be complete.

Component ≠ HD (unless you are using a HD set.) Component merely breaks the signal down into Red, Blue and Luminance channels.
