Gaming wheel...best bang for the buck?

I might be getting a gaming wheel, does anyone know a good performing and a cheaper price tag?

It's not the cheapest, but the TSW has a warranty that lasts forever, so if you plan to be racing for a long time, you'll only need to buy a wheel once. And you can even upgrade incrementally, if you choose.

I wouldn't have anything but a TSW.

Well since you're looking for a cheaper one, I guess the Logitech Driving Force EX would suit your needs.

G25 is PS2-compatible too but it seems to be way outta your price range. And if you wanna go even cheaper, there's a Logitech NASCRAP Racing Wheel.

It's not worth using a cheap wheel IMO.. if there's no feedback then it just feels weird and you can go faster with the pad. If you can't afford something along the lines of a logi driving force pro, look about for a second-hand driving force (the GT3 one) or suchlike. Just make sure it's not worn out.

Hehe - it probably wouldn't even have the power to run the drivers. The G25 would be a big enough incentive for me to spend huge amounts of money on a PC, if I hadn't already *Rubs knees* Does it auto-detect it on PS2 or is it a workaround like getting the DFP to work on PC? But anyway ... 2 huge-ass force feedback motors FTW!

Settle for nothing less than a Driving Force Pro. I've tried other wheels in the price range and below and they don't come close to the excitement. I'm sure you can pick up one cheap on Ebay or something along those lines. Only problem I had with it was that if you turned the wheel sharply, it'd squeel ... didn't make me as confident as I would've liked. They're coming down in price now the G25 is around.

The G25, DFP (and Momo, although not very well!) work by just plugging it into the PS2

When the DFP first came out, there were no drivers. It was only until later into its production that it was made compatible.

Owning all 3 of the wheels, i would say DFP if you want to use it for ps2

you sure? because those drivers are the "standard issue" Logitech Game Controller drivers that came with my Momo (well, an older version did)

dfp wasnt intended for the PC user in the firstplace, it doesnt come with drivers.

but now you have the wingman team providing excellent drivers for the DFP


btw, im looking for a pedalset
