i agree with you to a point. to become back involved as a full time thing, yes that is no good, but to come back for a race here and there, it woudl be incredible. just show up, kick ass, and go home and resume normal life. there are a few racers who have done that successfully, and a lot that haven't done it gracefully.

Niki Lauda won a World Championship in 1984 after coming out of retirement, proof that comebacks aren't necessarily a bad thing.

I agree that when sportsmen come out of retirement just for a big payday (a la Mike Tyson) when they clearly aren't up to the standard it is a bit lame. But if they do it because they genuinely think they can be competitve and win things then why on earth shouldn't they come back?

    I thought that red Enzo wasn't Raikkonen's?

it is so depressing that he retired so soon.I think about it everyday.I think he should come back out of his "retirement" and take that 8th WDC.He has accomplished so much yet he should rretire with 8 WDCs.
Ferrari will be WCC. Whoever wins the WDC will be from the Scuderia.........Yet who?

Just an idea - no doubt Schuhmacher is one of the greatest drivers ever after Fangio and - most possibly Sienna.
But as a driver, you cannot set the game as you like it, although "Mike" could do it.
Frerrari's drop was caused (among others) by the loss of their no.1 aerodynamical specialist. It also the team behind the curtains that makes the car - although, again, a driver like Michael could still doing miracles with a 2Ch.

What would be cool was Schumacher leading Ferrari back to Le Mans and getting beaten by a diesel but looks like neither will happen...

Whatever Schumacher goes on to do next we had all better pray that it's not a career in light entertainment!!! Check out this footage of him cavorting with Felipe Massa at an end of season party....

I think I need to go and wash my eyes out with bleach or something after watching that!

Schumacher suggested to Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro to sign Raikkonen for next season as he will be excellent behind the wheel of the scarlet Ferrari and a great rival for Alonso. Schumacher also decided to retire because he is very good friends with Massa and did not want him to leave the Ferrari organization if they had signed Raikkonen and Schumacher had not retired.

Woah, that is dedication to a friend that is probably a new friend at that if it is true. Never for a second would i imagine Raikonnen and Schumi together though, Ferrari has tended towards the one man winner strategy, and they clearly havethe cash to hire two top drivers but have not in the past.
