    Michael Schumacher’s New Harley!

This bike was specially commissioned for the World Champion as a retirement gift from the members of Ferrari Clienti, who buy and race vintage and modern Ferrari competition cars. The suitably red bike was presented to Schumacher recently at a Clienti event at Monza.

The Ferrari driver already has a few Harleys, including one he keeps in the U.S…. so it’s fair to say that building him an HD was a safe bet.

Seems like a little gift compared to the Ferrari (198?) and the island he already got

Why doesn't it have a rear suspension?

I see many custom bikes that use this arrangement. Is it because it's cheaper, or does it offer any benefits?

Its called a rigid, mostly just preference compared to a soft tail.

I cant see it offering many benefits, less to go wrong I guess, easier to manufacture and yeah probably cheaper.

At least if anyone tea leaves it, everyone'll know they're a TWOCer!

I wouldn't be concerned about the suspension guys, I bet it wont get ridden much. It'll spend most of its life on show.

It looks better, apparently. All show, no go is a major part of the custom bike industry.

This is not a Custom Bike other than the paint, it is a fully restored Harley

Or also called a hard tail. No benefits really, specially on a bumpy road. It's just considered more hard core.

Or a Hard tail to be exact
People like the hardtails because it's ol' skool and hadrcore. The springer seat will ease the kidney jacking, but some people like it straight up the jacksey, with a rigid rear, and a rigid seat. Personally I hate Harley's and all of the racket that goes along with them. I prefer the sound of a Duc.
