Definitely take the SLR, sell it for far more than 300,000 and then laugh all the way to the bank.

I'd definitely rip around a few streets in it first though.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.

The car. Of course, it would be on ebay with a reserve of at least 350K, and I would be opening a bank account in the Cayman Islands to dodge the taxes! Unlike most of you, I like to think ahead, and that money would go into some promising investments and pay for my college education, though I'd probably buy a cheap, yet fun, car to entertain myself.

    Good luck finding said sucker.

Then again, it's not like the premise of this thread was realistic to begin with

Sorry for sounding lame here, but to me the SLR is worth way more than $300k. Its one of my favourite cars ever. Yes it has 1 or 2 problems such as the brakes and the plastic ijn the interior, but those are minor drawbacks. $300k may get me lots of things i want/need such as a celler full Dom Perignon, but i'd still gladly take the SLR. Although i wouldn't mind having both!

300k would buy a lot of bus passes.

I'd take the SLR, sell it, and buy what I REALLY want. It'd be a hell of a lot cheaper than an SLR, too.

The car. As said, you can sell them for a pretty penny, much more than after the taxes on the $300K which would most likely leave you with $150-$160,000.

Guys, there's a reason a SLR is being raffled off. It's because no one wants to buy them and they're sitting on dealer lots.
