    Round 12 V8 Supercars Desert 400

In about a fortnight(from when I posted), the V8 Supercars will take a serious beating at the Desert 400. The Desert 400 will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit. It will be held from the 23rd-25 of November. It will be a hot and exhausting battle. I guess that if enough information explained, now to the predictions on who's going to win. Holden or Ford?

Absolutely no idea who will win, but if the Bahrain circuit looks like what I remember it does, it should be a very good, very fast race!

That should have been posted in the topic "Symonds Plains". They were quick though.

Next time might i suggest if you want to make a race thread, wait for the race weekend to start. Maybe start with the first practice results etc.

I think of it as a booking. Because if I make a topic starter on for example Bathurst, someone will complain that it is a repost, then Woulter Misslen or whatever it is will close the topic and that would make me look stupid and dumb, won't it?

And you think making the topic 2 weeks earlier is going to prevent that? Its going to make it more likely, thats what.

I agree, these racing threads are starting way to early. I would have suggested starting them a day or so before the first practice, so we can place out bets, then post the results and see who has the speed. There isn't 2+ weeks of stuff to talk about prior to a round.

Nah actually I like the idea of having the thread opened a fortnite before the race. Theres always heaps of stuff going on in the lead up to a round, and usually its going to have an affect on the event. Two weeks is fair.
How bad has Murphs and Skaifes year been btw? Who is tipping Skaife on pole and Murph packen the car up on friday in boxes?

Wouldnt surprise me at all to see Skaife on pole, again. Hes had the speed, and last year HRT had it over the whole field, and i'd expect them to be the same at Bahrain. To further cement that, the layout of Bahrain they'll be using is essentially 3 straights, a winding straight, 3 tight corners and a quick succession of right-left-rights at the end of the main straight. A horsepower track if there ever was one.

888 will be there too then... Im tipping those Toll Commodores will be lghtning fast. Tander on pole. R. Kelly somewhere round 5th. He's doing the Ingall, accumulating without winning. Thank god they have changed the points structure for next year.

Assuming no bad luck, I'm expecting a battle between HRT, Toll, 888 and FPR. They've all shown plenty of pace this year, especially at Symond's plains, with the Tasman boys coming up behind those 4
