    Work has begun...

Work has begun to update Spa-Francorchamps.
On the crash.net F1 gallery it looks as though the garages were torn down...
edit: A gallery on the Spa website is showing the progress

isn't spa-francorchamps partly built on public roads? I remember a Road and Track article with Dan Gurney who mentioned that there were houses, and pictures showed houses with cars in the driveway.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

no, they constructed a new parallel road to the track, and it now permanently closed off for the public, but not before I did the Raidillon several times....

the only time you could see 200 indicated on the first generation BX was when your were driving backward and the cylinder turned in the other direction...

I'm assuming all you euro people are talking km/h? Because 200 mph sounds like a bit much to me.

We use km/h here in Canada too man! America is the exception, not the standard. Other than Australia, UK, and maybe NZ, I don't know any other countries other than the states that use mph. What the hell is a mile!? I hate the imperial system!!!

NO races are going to be canceled. The first to race there should be Le Mans Series...

Great news. I hope spa see top motoring events for years to come.

Im a bit disapointed at the Grand stands in the main straight. they seem kinda small... compared to recently built tracks like china wich have HUGE mainstands.
