Thats about it for size for a car in those corners
We drove a lazy Audi A6 2.4 Quattro.. That gaz-drinking pice of shit!...
It barely managed to get around the corners, and to the top...

That lake on top by the Italian Border was quite cool if i remember correct

And to make the story more interesting..
I didn't find my passport when we got to the Italian border control
We had driven from Norway in 30 hrs straight with only small stops, and my brain just couldn't work properly
Damn those Italian guys got suspissious(sp?)
Two preppy boys, going from Norway to south of France in daddys A6..
Oh boy we could have carried alot of explosives and drugs, and humans..

We did get past it after I found it.. and explained everything, twice.. in the english language, the one language they don't understand

We did almost all Alpine passes, during 1979-1981, (with a Renault 4GTL and the Visa) when we were not yet bothered by the reason we are all here now

    Nothing to drive locally

Wnat to drive- there's a certain pass in the netherlands area full of insane hairpins and sheer cliffs, I remember seeing a picture of it on here before and being completely amazed. I believe the pic was from a magazine and i remember it had a red car in it but I can't find it again.

You should try Mt Nebo if you haven't. It's a very very interesting piece of road, particularly on the side not facing Brisbane.

In the zone where I live my favourite road is a hilly, rolling road with max achievable speeds of around 140 km/h (max legal 80 km/h). There is another mountain road that at the end of long weekends, turns to one way only from 1 pm to 8 pm, which means that on the few weekends with low traffic of the year (like last weekend), on the way back you can make amazing progress without risking too much.

In the future I hope I can sample: the ring, stelvio pass and Tail of the Dragon, and of course this mountain road in Dubai. It leads only to some shieks house. As you can see specifications are amazing...

It varies, I actually went to one of the best high schools in California, which is the cross-town, in-district rival to Gunn High school, which made the list of top 25 high schools in the nation. Mine was one of the top 100high schools in the state of California. It's a genuinely good school, most junior and senior level classes are nearly college-level.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but Route 66 for sure. Unfortunately it is a bit hard to navigate since it is no longer a designated US highway (it was decommissioned in 1985).

Many years ago my brother told me it was not restricted by speed limits..
He also was driving there one time with his family when a car doing well over 100kmh pulled around him on a corner with a trailer and sideswiped them and they were very lucky, But being my short temperd brother you almost killed his kids he jumped out and belted this guy out, He was arrested for assualt that day. But i would have done the same thing. So today it might have a speed limit.
I havent driven on it, But i have been a passenger plenty of times. Good place to fish. And many CAr forums do there drives down it also.

Good stretch of road near my house it bendy but it has 3 roundabouts through it, Would be great to be able to floor it through them..
there's plenty of great fun roads near my place but it's hard to go over the speed limit anywhere now a days.
