    You are very correct..
Try searching british Mini-clubs and such...
    Google is your friend
You can get complete new mini-bodys I know....
The panel-van I'm not completely sure about though...

Minis were not just sold but manufactured in Oz, and for many years. So I bet there would be heaps of NOS (new old stock) parts still lying about & smouldering on the shelves of various parts specialists, just waiting for a buyer. As for used bits & pieces, geez there'd be plenty available. Or you could buy a complete wrecker for bugger-all, depending on your requirements

Imo it's always best (and cheapest in the end) to buy the best-condition vehicle you can. If your existing car has major rust then you might want to reconsider. But if I were you and wanted to go on with what you have, then the first thing I'd do is join a car-club which is dedicated to Minis. There you'll find experts who know the car backwards and can steer you in the right direction regarding parts and repairs

I'm not recommending this outfit below (1st result after 5 seconds of google) coz I've never dealt with them. But maybe worth a look at least, as they do list their parts & prices

Hell, if you were in Perth I know three places right near my house to visit. If they're that easy to find here you should be fine over there! Grab your yellow pages and look up classic or vintage car parts or something like that, you'll find heaps of places specialising in english cars or even minis specifically. Even Ebay has a tonne of parts available, including floor panels.
