    Minimum & Recommended specs: http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2006/07...pecs_released/

glad to see i fit well and truly in the middle of the recommended spec for crysis I'll be able to run it well and truly with my dual core 4400, x1900xt setup. Granted, I dont have DX10 but if the official recommended specs are lower than my DX9 card, I can still say I'm not wasting my money on a dx10 card until the real flow of games are all DX10

You'll be fine with that X1900XT since it's there with an overclocked 8600GTS, if there's a worthy upgrade then it'd be the 8800GTS, but the cost doesn't really justify so the best thing to do it get a Zalman VF900 and overclock your X1900XT!!

I don't think I can afford to sell my kidney in order to play this game.

    Bummer, I guess.

Don't celebrate too much too soon guys ... read to the end of teh article ....
it seems that the source of this story slipped through the net. It was assumed that the story came from an official source, but in fact it is from a fansite with no affiliation to Crytek. Crysis-online is a fansite and the specifications listed are based on assumptions made by an avid Crysis fan

But still, the game doesnt require a DX10 setup. A system like mine will handle it just fine, thats what I'm celebrating about

That means a E6600 with a single 8800GTX will do wonders (most likely max settings) on 1680x1050, especially when both are overclocked.

By the way, Test Drive Unlimited has pre-rendered screenshots too.

will anybody be getting a DX10 card, and vista to play this? Or like myself are you mostly using a high end DX9 card on XP?

Wow the difference is bigger than I thought it would be. Luckily I now only need Vista for DX10.
