Ahhh, Dennis Bergkamp. One of my favourite ever players that I've been lucky enough to see in the flesh. Sadly he was usually scoring against my team, but nevermind!

If you watch the goal from 1:10 onwards in this vid you might even be able to spot my little head in the crowd behind the goal. (But probably not )

I suppose I'd better include this Bergkamp strike for you Dutchies out there too - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFvXVlfu4vs

(The commentators on the last one are a perfect example of what happens when you decriminalise drugs in your country )

very nice. Its too bad ive never seen a bicycle kick in any of the games i play in. Ive tried, but at about 6'1" i cant get around too quick. Land on my head, or take a big hit in the back. Any of you play, or do you just like to watch?

WOAH. Both Ronaldinho's and Totti's goals are amazing. For some hilarious skill, watch these compilations, some of my favourites (and I am a hockey man):

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=AcGKgi4h7CA

http://youtube.com/watch?v=adpU-4LK1Cs (great song and title - the last goal has got to be one of the best plays in the history of sport)

(that is amazing for the commentator - I love it when commentators lose it like that - he is crying!!!)

And there is too many more.

On the subject of amazing goals, there were two absolutely stunning strikes in England this weekend.

The first is Matthew Taylor for Portsmouth volleying in from 45 yards.

(and to prove it wasn't a fluke here's him doing a similar thing last season - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlvXm_PxssI&NR )

And the second is Michael Essien's stunning equaliser for Chelsea against Arsenal - http://youtube.com/watch?v=_1lv8Ng3Bkc

Saw the first one on FSC highlights, and saw Essien's strike live this morning. Both were just incredible.

Had to dig this old thread up to post this goal Lionel Messi scored the other night for Barca. I wish we had commentators like this in Britain!

I love it - LOVE IT when announcers get that excited. I want an excitable english language commentator! The closest I know is the commentator for the NHL's Buffalo Sabres. He's pretty crazy.

    Great GOL!!! btw.

    Catalans ftw

By the way the commentator (Joaquim Maria Puyal) is a bit of a legend in Catalunya. He commentates Barça matches for Catalunya Radio.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.
