Anyone who's surprised that people would buy a car with big chrome wheels needs to crawl out from the rock they've been living under for the last 5 years.

For christmas, I'd think someone should introduce Caddy designers to curves, they seem to be equipped with little else but a ruler and set square.

GM called for "edgier designs" and this is what they got.

i am not surprised that big chromes sell, just indifferent to them. its so superficial. would anyone here buy them given the oppertunuity?

p.s has anyone seen the mountain race between a H2, escalade and a range rover in clarkson's (not the best..) new DVD "the good the bad and the ugly".

Cadillac has never looked like high luxury imo, but rather cheap. The prices of their vehicles have so much air in them. What do you really get for your money when you buy a Cadillac anyway? All I've heard is medium but continuous and extremely frustrating problems.

Given the right car, and a certain style I was going for? Absolutely.

    VIP style > you.

Plus, if a bird shits on chrome, it's a bitch to get off.

(Don't ask how a bird can shit on a wheel, just go with it )

Brake dust, regular dirt, salt from gritted roads... they all spell death for chrome

I would never, ever, ever, ever buy chrome rims for my car. Black is the way forward, obviously... or Stormcloud Grey

Sad, but true. Cadillacs of the '60s and earlier stood for high quality, reliability, longevity, very luxurious interiors with high-quality materials, roominess, etc.
    Not anymore.

Given the Opportunity Yes I would. My car is black, very black and when its waxed and clean its very shiny. I've always wanted a nice set but that stuff called money keeps me from them.
